The Philippines archipelago comprising 7,101 islands and located in the western Pacific Ocean of South East Asia. Since its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire, its tropical climate has endowed the country with natural resoursed and made it one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world. The Diving in Moalboal is a relaxing one. The dive sites are all nearby, with a 10 to 30 minutes boat ride to reach all the dive sites in the area including the most further away. Most of the dive sites take place in vertical wall full of colorful soft coral, gorgonians and macro creatures as well as pelagic (Fisherman island). At Coral garden, sightings of both soft and hard corals, giant lionsfish, moral eels, anemones and its crown fish are everywhere (Sunken Island). For macro lovers, there are special areas for underwater photographers for the diversity pf extraordinary macro life (Ondo Point).
Diving in Malapascua is known worldwide by encounters with thresher sharks. This dive site is just 30 minutes from mainland Malapascua. Diving in Malapascua is a mixture of wall diving, wrecks, muck diving (life macro) and diving with thresher sharks that can be seen almost daily.
